The rain begins

8/29/2005 - Early morning at the height of the storm at East Jefferson Hospital

Later in the day, once it is deemed safe - Firefighters leave shelter and return to their areas

        Veterans Blvd. at Houma Blvd. looking west                        Clearview Pkwy. at I-10 looking south (structure fire)

    Central Ave. (off Airline)  looking south                                    Structure fire on Newman St. - with no municipal water

    Old Betsy's house is destroyed...                                                But she lives on!!! (whoo, that was close)
